On Friday, April 1st, Lutheran High celebrated International Day! Students in Spanish and Social Studies classes researched assigned countries, displayed project boards, played music, and brought food to represent their countries. The faculty and students enjoyed learning more about other cultures and sampling the many delicious dishes! Mr. Artiz coordinated the event with special help from his wife, Mrs. Artiz! The day began with chapel and a message that reminded us Christ is “In All Things.” Students supported their community by donating cans of food to Second Harvest and then shared a special meal of build your own burrito or baked potato. The afternoon was spent outdoors creating sidewalk chalk crosses and enjoying some friendly competition - ping pong, corn hole, musical chairs, and a water balloon toss. The event was coordinated by the Service Club and Ms. Loughmiller. |
