Lutheran High welcomed future Gryphons and families, and Gryphon friends, to our Spring Open House. Faculty and student ambassadors shared with visitors what it means to be a LuHigh Gryphon. If you missed our Open House event, call (504) 455-4062 to schedule a private tour. Lutheran High, a Small Place to be Extraordinary! #LuHighNOLA #BeaGryphonBeExtraordinary In celebration of the Easter season of renewal, our art students created Spring themed faux stained glass using leading paint, acrylic boards, and glass paints. Wonderful work, Gryphons! Students in Mrs. Lagarde's art classes, accompanied by Mrs. Lagarde and Mr. Brackvitch, joined creative forces with renowned local artist Josh Wingerter at his Westwego Art Center. Students toured the gallery and studio space, as well as the art house, a casual funky space that draws inspiration from street art. After the tour, Josh and fellow artist Dago provided tarps, canvases, paint supplies and encouraged students to unleash their creative spirit. Heartfelt thanks to Josh Wingerter Art Gallery for hosting our students! #creativegryphons |
