Tuesday blessings abound as students and faculty came together to celebrate Chapel today. Ms. Loughmilller shared a message about the Beatitudes, our Chapel theme for this school year, and reminded us that we are all on "Team Jesus".
So glad to have our students back on campus today! Welcome back, Gryphons! We celebrated with Raising Canes lunch and a Saints dress down day. We missed you, LuHigh students! Gryphons and friends of Lutheran High, we hope you are well and safe. The teachers and staff are fine and miss our students. Our school building weathered Ida but like many structures in our area sustained some roof damage. We are assessing the damage and will begin the process to make repairs when power is restored. Gryphon families, we are here for you and look forward to seeing you soon. If you are able, please monitor your emails.
We will continue to keep our Lutheran High School community and all of South Louisiana in our prayers at this time. #onceagrphonalwaysagryphon #luhighnola Students in Art class designed their own custom sketchbook covers using collage and modge podge techniques. We can't wait to see their creative talents grow! #artclass #luhighgryphons #lutheranhighschoolnola #luhighnola
New and returning faculty welcomed our students to campus this week at orientation and on the first official start of our school year! Back to school activities included an all school Welcome Chapel service at First English Lutheran Church and "getting to know you" ice breakers in the classrooms. Our newest members of the Lutheran High School faculty include Nancy Hernandez, Principal; Grecia Medina, Biology teacher; Pastor Althoff, Religion teacher; and Coach Jerry Hernandez, Physical Education teacher. Here's to a successful start to the 2021-2022 school year! |
