As part of their "Think Pink" week, the LHS volleyball team presented a skit entitled "Plink" as part of the chapel message. 1 Corinthians 12:12 focuses on many parts forming one body in Christ. In the skit, an inventor was building the ultimate machine but it failed when it was missing just one part - Plink. At the end of chapel Coach Loughmiller recognized LHS' three senior volleyball players and thanked them for their leadership! Many thanks to all who voted for Lutheran High's painted pumpkins! While we did not place this year, we had a wonderful time participating in this fun event. We are proud of our students' hard work and the way they represented their school. Way to Geaux, Gryphons! Students in Ms. Able's biology class created models of cells, researched cell processes, and presented in class. Creativity was on display as cell projects ranged from traditional model materials to edible creations involving pizza with organelle toppings, cake, and candies! Mrs. Lagarde accompanied Senior students on a tour of the Delgado River City Campus in Avondale. Students learned about careers and study opportunities in advanced manufacturing. Many thanks to our tour guides and the instructors at Delgado for spending time with our students and providing hands on learning opportunities! Thirty-Nine LHS students earned placement on the school honor rolls! Great job, Gryphons! |
