Today we remember and honor the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. #MLKDay #lovehonorserve  We were twice blessed with both Pastor Nare and Pastor Manning celebrating Chapel with us. In honor of Martin Luther King Day, Pastor Manning of Broadmoor Community Church read Dr. Martin Luther King's powerful "I Have a Dream" speech, and shared a message of God's love for all of us. We were encouraged to press forward through adversity and reach for Jesus. The LHS Choir directed by Mr. Scriber shared their musical gifts with us. #blessed Happy Epiphany and Happy King's Day! In Chapel on January 6th, Pastor Althoff shared a message of celebration of Epiphany, and our LHS Choir performed Joy to the World. Once again we were blessed with student readers. As a special treat, students enjoyed king cake at lunch! #Epiphany #KingsDay LuHigh Gryphons celebrate the spirit of Christmas! Students enjoyed an afternoon of feasting, cookie decorating, and activities on campus sponsored by Student Council and the Service Club. As part of a school wide service project, students wrote cheerful messages in Christmas cards for all of the residents of Covenant Nursing Home which were hand-delivered today. At our last Chapel of the Christmas season, the choir shared their musical talents with us, performing several uplifting carols.
