Grateful and Blessed

8/25/2022

Many thanks to Pastor David Goodine and Mr. Kim Jovanovich who presented a generous donation from Prince of Peace Lutheran Church to Lutheran High School before Chapel recently. Principal Hernandez received the check on behalf of our school. We were also blessed with the musical talents of our choir and an uplifting message from Ms. Loughmiller. We are thankful and blessed!

LHS Alums Share their Culinary skills and Gryphon Spirit

8/21/2022

Many thanks to our Lutheran High alums, Steve and Jon Koester, Geoff Jenny, Rob Saak, and special friend of Lutheran High, Warren Blackwell, for using their culinary skills to treat our students and faculty to a delicious lunch today! Lunch included a made-to-order grilled burger with the fixings, hot waffle fries, and a soft drink. What a wonderful way to end our first full week of school! #OnceaGryphonAlwaysaGryphon #lutheranhighnola

Many thanks to our students and parents for attending our senior meeting for our Class of 2023! Mrs. Hernandez, Mrs. Lagarde, and Ms. Loughmiller shared important information to help our seniors and families navigate the events leading up to graduation and the college application process. It will be a fabulous year, Gryphons! #lhsclassof2023

Lift up your voice in Song

At Tuesday's Chapel this Pastor Nare shared a message of celebrating joy in perseverance and our Lutheran High Choir shared their musical gifts. After Chapel we recognized our student and faculty birthdays by singing the Happy Birthday song.

Welcome Back, Gryphons!

8/15/2022

A few highlights from orientation and Chapel as we welcome our new and returning Gryphons Back to School. Orientation included an academic and school procedure overview, welcome by Mrs. Hernandez, and faculty led student team building and "getting to know you activities." At the first Chapel of the year, Pastor Nare shared a welcome message and a blessing for our Lutheran High family, Mr. Scriber shared his musical talents, and Ms. Loughmiller shared our Chapel theme for the year, James 1:2-4. Here's to a fabulous 2022-2023 school year at Lutheran High!
