In Chapel today, Pastor Althoff shared a message of God's love for us. By Grace Alone we are loved and forgiven. We were also gifted with the singing talents of our LHS choir, who gave a flawless rendition of the spiritual song "10,000 Reasons." Many thanks to Mr. Scriber, the choir director, and our students for such a beautiful and moving performance! #blessed
Students in Mrs. Lagarde's Art and English III classes enjoyed the beautiful weather with outdoor classes today. English III students brought their class novel outside to read, and art students worked on nature sketches.
While underclassmen were taking the PSAT, Senior students participated in a workshop designed just for them. Sergeant Collado and Sergeant Flores with the Louisiana National Guard spoke with seniors about college opportunities through the Louisiana National Guard. Mr. Don Scamardo with Herff Jones shared information with Seniors regarding graduation. Many thanks to First English Lutheran Church for providing the room for the workshop, and to our special guests for coming out to speak with the LHS Class of 2022!
Students and faculty joined together in spirit at Chapel today. Pastor Nare reminded us to count our blessings, and that we are all blessings to each other. #tuesdayblessings #jesuslovesyou
The art classes were inspired by the cube collages of artist, Thank You X, and created their own cube art collage. #gryphonartists
Tuesday blessings abound as students and faculty came together to celebrate Chapel today. Ms. Loughmilller shared a message about the Beatitudes, our Chapel theme for this school year, and reminded us that we are all on "Team Jesus".
So glad to have our students back on campus today! Welcome back, Gryphons! We celebrated with Raising Canes lunch and a Saints dress down day. We missed you, LuHigh students! Gryphons and friends of Lutheran High, we hope you are well and safe. The teachers and staff are fine and miss our students. Our school building weathered Ida but like many structures in our area sustained some roof damage. We are assessing the damage and will begin the process to make repairs when power is restored. Gryphon families, we are here for you and look forward to seeing you soon. If you are able, please monitor your emails.
We will continue to keep our Lutheran High School community and all of South Louisiana in our prayers at this time. #onceagrphonalwaysagryphon #luhighnola |
