Many thanks to Ms. Candice Dazet with the University of Louisiana at Lafayette for coming out to speak to our students this week about the many degree programs offered at ULL. #collegeboundgryphons
The Lutheran High Choir got everyone in the Christmas spirit at Lafreniere Park's Holiday Lights Celebration last night. Under the direction of Mr. Adrian Scriber, our talented students performed a collection of Christmas Carols. Wonderful job, Gryphons! #festivevibes #musicalgryphons Tuesday night our boys' basketball team went up against Ben Franklin High School's JV team for LuHigh's season-opening game. While not a Gryphon victory, our athletes played with heart and kept the energy going through two games. Great job to our Gryphon Basketball athletes and Coach Scriber! Many thanks to Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, our faculty, school families, and fans for their enthusiasm and support! #gryphonbasketball #gryphonathletes Junior and Senior students accompanied by Mrs. Lagarde and Mr. Scriber toured Delgado Community College. Students learned about different degree and career programs, scholarships and financial aid, and student life. Our tour included a stop at the cafeteria to personally check out the dining options. Many thanks to our tour guide, Ms. Camille Bryant for the wonderful tour! #collegeboundgryphons
Pastor Nare shared the message of preparation and expectation of the birth of Christ! The LHS Choir under the direction of Mr. Scriber performed beautiful renditions of Emmanuel. We are blessed! Ms. Loughmilller and members of the Service Club recently decorated Lutheran High's Christmas tree as part of the New Orleans City Park's "Christmas in the Oaks." The ornaments were hand created and decorated by all of the students at Lutheran High. As a bonus, our decorators even made the news on WVUE, Fox-8! #festivegryphons #inthenews Many thanks to the ARMY National Guard for sending a representative to chat with our students about college and career plans during lunch recently.
We were blessed with another stellar performance of our LHS choir in Chapel recently! Many thanks to Choir director Mr. Adrian Scriber, our choir members, and to Ms. Mitzi Loughmilller for her message about entering into the Season of Advent. If you look closely, you can see a sneak peak of our choir being recorded for our new school video. We appreciate all of our students who participated in our video shoot! Stay tuned for more information!
