On Friday, December 5th, the Lutheran High choir, under the direction of Mr. Scriber, performed Christmas carols in the Hotel Monteleone lobby. The LHS Choir filled the lobby with sounds of the season, spreading Christmas cheer to hotel guests and attending family members. Excellent job, Gryphons! Many thanks to the Hotel Monteleone for hosting us and for the delicious catered lunch! The LHS cross country team concluded their 2025 season with a trip to the state cross country meet at Northwestern State University in Natchitoches, LA. It was a beautiful day for a race and everyone competed well. And a special "thank you" to everyone for your support throughout this season, especially on those early Saturday morning meets. Every race was fun, fast, and furious! Go Gryphons! It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas here at Lutheran High! Student Council, the Service Club, and the Fine Arts and Art students have been busy spreading Christmas Cheer. The Service Club decorated our tree at New Orleans City Park with the theme "Make a Joyful Noise," featuring ornaments created by all of the students at LHS. Student Council decorated our entryway tree; the art students created a faux stained-glass nativity scene and have been working on other Christmas-themed art projects; and the fine arts survey students created their own name tree. #festivegryphons We are Grateful, Thankful, and Blessed at Lutheran High! Student Council sponsored a day of thanks - students and faculty created a Thanksgiving tree sharing their blessings, a holiday meal basket drive for members of our Lutheran High family, and a dessert bar for all to enjoy. #blessedbeyondmeasure The spirit of community is alive at Lutheran High! LHS students enjoyed some food, fun and fright at St. John Lutheran School's annual Trick or Trunk event in Mid City. The LHS Service Club coordinated games and other volunteers served hotdogs and handed out lots of candy and prizes! On campus, the LuHigh NOLA Arts Club carved up spootakular pumpkins to decorate the front of school. |
