In celebration of Black History Month, students in Mrs. Lagarde's art classes learned more about Jean-Michel Basquiat, a modern neoexpressionist artist. Basquiat's artwork dealt with themes of racism, classism, and other power structures and their effects on U.S. society. Students created their own works inspired by Basquiat. Great job, Gyphons!
