A Night of Enchantment: The 2025 Lutheran High Homecoming Dance, sponsored by Student Council! The Lutheran High community celebrated a memorable evening on Saturday, October 18th, at the Kenner Pavilion. The annual Homecoming Dance, "Enchanted Ball," saw students and their guests gathered for a festive night of music and celebration. A highlight of the evening was the official presentation of our royal members of the 2025 Homecoming Court. Thank you to everyone who made this evening a success! So proud of our dedicated National Art Honor Society students! They put their creativity to work and showcased an amazing pumpkin entry, with the theme, Cartoon Network, at the Lakeside Mall Mall-o-Ween event. Our Gryphons woke up early to work the event, meeting LHS alums and passing out candy to children. What a great way to represent Lutheran High! Huge thanks to Lakeside Mall and Raising Cane's for sponsoring the contest. Awesome job, Gryphons! ##OnceaGryphonAlwaysaGryphon The LHS cross country team competed in the Jack Schommer Invitational on Saturday, October 26. Everyone showed up and showed out on a nice cool morning! Great job, Gryphons! What a week! Our students and faculty brought tremendous energy to Homecoming Week 2025! We kicked it off with Spirit Night, where students wore their LHS spirit shirts and cheered on classmates in friendly volleyball matches. A shout-out to Mrs. Hansen and Pastor Nare for captaining two of the student teams! The fun evening concluded with the presentation of our Homecoming Court! We ended the week in style with a dress-down day dedicated to the "Enchanted Ball" theme—think fairy-tale attire, royalty, and magic everywhere. Thanks to all the parents and fans who brought the Gryphon Spirit! Geaux Gryphons! 6:15 a.m. was a great time for the Class of 2026 to gather for Senior Sunrise. A clear sky, cool temperatures, breakfast, and time to think about what the future holds made for a great start to the day and their senior year! Coach Scriber and the LHS Cross Country team had their 4th meet of the season Saturday, October 4. Everyone had a great run on a cool, windy morning which was perfect for race day! Great job, Gryphons!! Students in Ms. Able's Biology II class explored the unique exterior features and skeletal system of the dog shark. This practical experience brings textbook concepts to life, showing how the theoretical knowledge they learn in class applies directly to the natural world. It's hands-on learning at its best, fostering a deeper appreciation for biology and the diversity of marine life. At Lutheran High, this is an excellent example of our commitment to providing students with engaging, practical experiences that go beyond the classroom walls. Congratulations to our newly elected Lutheran High Student Council Executive Board and Class Officers! We can't wait to see all the amazing things you will accomplish this year. Thank you to everyone who ran for a position—your commitment to our school community to put yourself out there to run for office demonstrate what it means to be a Gryphon leader. From the posters and speeches to the creative slogans, your passion and dedication made this an incredible election season. Let's make it a fabulous year! |
