From Councilman Hans Liljeberg's Office: We’re proud to share a collaborative effort with local schools and the District 5 Office to transform utility boxes into vibrant public art—enhancing the beauty and creativity throughout our community! 🎨✨ Students from Lutheran High School NOLA recently brought this vision to life by painting a utility box near Johnny Bright Playground in the 3400 block of Marion St., turning it into a colorful showcase of their talent and hard work. “Lutheran High School was honored to have the opportunity to give back to our community by creating a work of art on a Parish utility box. We are proud of the work our students created, and that they were given an opportunity to share their talents by showcasing the value and importance of the arts in our school!”– Nancy Hernandez, Principal “As the advisor for Lutheran High’s Art Honor Society, I am incredibly proud of the creativity and dedication our students have shown throughout this project. This was more than just an art assignment; it was a real-world learning experience—from the initial brainstorming and proof-of-concept stages to the final pitch and painting the utility box. Many thanks to Councilman Hans J. Liljeberg and the District 5 team for providing our students with such a meaningful way to share their creativity with the community.”– Hope Lagarde, Art Honor Society Advisor 👏 Students involved:Sadie Childers Kori Holmes Heaven Dixon Jeanne Boyer Emma Nixon and Malak Hachem Thank you to these talented students for helping make District 5 a more beautiful place!
