LHS Service Club members and their adviser, Ms. Loughmiller, enjoyed a warm day of decorating at City Park for Celebration in the Oaks. This year’s theme is Christmas Scrabble. Each LHS student made an ornament with a word that reminds them of Christmas! Be sure to check out our tree near the carousel to see if your word made the list! Many thanks to Reverend Eric Stinnett for sharing his love of the Gospel and his experiences as a missionary in Ethiopia with our faculty and students recently. Reverend Stinnett and Pastor Nare were in the Seminary together. Many thanks to Campbell Cave with the University of Southern Mississippi for spending time with our students. Students learned about the many degree and career opportunities offered at Southern Mississippi! The LHS volleyball team celebrated their seniors and their annual Think Pink game at their final home match! Students wore as much pink as possible to school and the theme carried over to the match! Both JV and Varsity were in action against district opponent Christ Episcopal! While the Gryphons did not get a win, each senior ended her season with a memorable moment - a solo middle block for Heaven, a back row kill from Bella and a few well placed tips from Jo. "Louie" joined Coach Loughmiller and the Class of 2024 families as each senior was recognized for her contribution to LHS athletics! Go Gryphons! |
