Dressed in their finest attire, Lutheran High Seniors, Juniors, and their guests enjoyed the LHS Prom on Saturday, April 15th. Lakeside Country Club was transformed back in time to the Parisian venue Moulin Rouge. Attendees danced the night away and celebrated the crowning of Prom Royalty! Congratulations to our 2023 Senior Prom Court. GiveNOLA Day Early Giving Starts Today! GiveNOLA Day, an initiative of the Greater New Orleans Foundation, is a one-day online giving event. Please consider donating to Lutheran High School!
Many thanks to Delgado for hosting our students for a school tour. Students, accompanied by Mrs. Lagarde, learned about Delgado's many degree and career opportunities. In celebration of Easter, art students expressed their faith and Easter reflections through a simple watercolor and pen "card." "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life." John 3:16 The LHS students in charge of taking down the pipe and drape after last weekend's Gryphon Gala were treated to the Red Barn Farm Tour on hand at Faith Lutheran School for their "dress like a farmer" day. Who doesn't love puppies, baby chicks, bunnies, a pig, a calf, a goat, a goose? On Saturday, April 1st, LHS Gala guests were treated to an experience that channeled "Dreams of Tuscany" with a naturally N'awlins flair. The evening was filled with fun and fellowship, all to support the students of Lutheran High! The Lutheran High Board of Directors, Faculty, Staff, and the Gala committee are so thankful to Faith Lutheran for hosting our event and to the members of our Lutheran community and our school family for sponsorships, donations, and volunteer efforts to make the event a success. Special thanks to Roux LaLa and the LHS school musicians for the night's entertainment. Hat's off to the hardworking alumni "kitchen crew," whose culinary talents were appreciated by all in attendance. Congratulations to Pamela Casamento Flucke (Class of 1987), who was recognized as the Honorary Alumni at the Gala. Thank you to our students for all the behind-the-scenes efforts before and after the event and for demonstrating what it means to be a Gryphon at the Gala! It was truly a night to remember! |
