Congratulations to Coach Loughmiller and the LHS Lady Gryphons for winning a hard fought five set match against The Louisiana School for the Deaf at our first home game! They will start district play next week! Many thanks to our faculty, school families, and fans for supporting our team. Thanks as well to our student concessions volunteers. Shout out to our yearbook photographer, Tyrone, for helping Mrs. Lagarde capture the game! In Chapel Ms. Loughmiller shared a message of being steadfast in faith and having perseverance in all things. Many thanks to the musical talents of our LHS Choir, directed by Mr. Scriber. Happy birthday to the students recognized at the end of Chapel! The juniors in Ms. Loughmiller’s Financial Math Class just finished their career presentations. After taking a free online career test, they explored their chosen careers using the Occupational Outlook Handbook! Fourteen careers were presented from trade professions to the fields of medicine, business and science! This past week Coach Loughmiller and the Gryphon volleyball team watched an exciting five set match between Tulane and U of H on Wednesday and then shared a joint volleyball practice with the Eagles of St. John Lutheran School on Thursday! Go Gryphons! Lil' Louie and Coach Martin were all smiles for picture day! Faculty and students took their yearbook and student ID photos last week. Congratulations to our new student leaders! Advisor Mrs. Lagarde officially recognized our newly elected Student Council members after Chapel today. Congratulations as well to all of our candidates who campaigned, put up signs, and gave speeches prior to voting! Great job, Gryphons! Students in Mr. Artiz's World Geography class recently participated in a debate on "delsalination: its benefits and problems." Is desalination an answer to more freshwater consumption, at the cost of harming ocean and sea marine life? Great job, Gryphons! Congratulations to Coach Loughmiller and our Lady Gryphons as they won their game against the Louisiana School for the Deaf in Baton Rouge recently! Geaux Gryphons! |
