LHS students spent the week of National Lutheran Schools Week (NLSW) “Connecting” with one another based on John 15:1-5. During chapel, members of the Service Club presented a few skits from “Vines University” that reminded us how important it is to stay Connected to God and to Connect with people who can help us grow in our faith. Michelle Zollinger, the President of the LA-MS District of the LWML and Gladys Brown, New Orleans Zone President, made a special presentation at the end of Chapel. At last year’s National LWML Convention, Lutheran High was selected to receive a grant funded by the LWML’s mite boxes. LHS plans to use this grant to help us increase enrollment. On Thursday of NLSW, students connected by wearing their favorite color and enjoyed a special lunch prepared by Ms. Loughmiller and the Service Club. Partner challenges saw students “Connecting” puzzles, paper clips, pasta, and more. The day ended with a baby shower to “Connect” to the newest member of our Gryphon family – Cristian Artiz (the son of Mr. Artiz and his wife Cristina). Comments are closed.
