On April 26, in a school-wide assembly, we celebrated our students gifted in the musical and visual arts. The LHS Choir, directed by Mr. Scriber, performed the songs, "When We Were Young" and "Cups." Immediately following the performance, Art Honor Society advisor Mrs. Lagarde recognized our District Literary Rally art placers and inducted three new members into the Lutheran High Chapter of the National Art Honor Society. The NAHS was established in 1978 by the National Art Education Association to inspire and recognize students who have shown outstanding ability and interest in art. NAHS strives to aid members in attaining the highest standards in art scholarship, character, and service and to bring art education to the attention of the school and community. Current Art Honor Society members assisted with the induction ceremony and presented the membership certificates and society gifts. Congratulations to our new inductees! Comments are closed.
