Student Leadership retreat

​On Saturday, September 23rd, newly elected student leaders came together to build upon their leadership and communication skills at the LHS Student Council leadership retreat. Mrs. Hernandez, Mrs. Lagarde, and Ms. Loughmiller led discussions, and facilitated activities designed to promote teamwork, understanding, and servant leadership. Activities included creating word art that reflected the leadership action words Lead, Unite, Communicate, and Act, finding "common threads" in small group discussions, brainstorming school-wide celebrations, and participating in a catapult building activity where teams competed to get different objects in a series of targets. Student leaders enjoyed a breakfast treat and a build-your-own salad bar for lunch. Great job, Gryphons! #gryphonleaders
